- Move all furniture to the centre of the room, covering it and the floor. Check out our range of temporary protection products on the accessories page.
- Ensure the walls to be painted are clean and dry
- If you are planning to paint onto newly applied plasterwork, you will need to 'seal the wall' with a 50:50 mix of emulsion and water before applying the first coat of your colour choice. We would recommend using a trade paint mixed with water as the wall may absorb quite a lot of paint.
- Begin by masking off any skirting boards or door frames using masking tape. Paint the edges between the wall and skirting, coving, and door/window frames using a small paintbrush.
- Complete the wall by painting the body of the wall using a roller, pad or large paintbrush
- Spread paint out thinly and evenly
- Leave to dry thoroughly before applying further coats.
- Take your time, don't rush and enjoy
